エマーソンズ・オールド・タイミー・カスタード・サッキン・バンドの70年たぶん唯一作。
メリーランドのボルチモアあたりで活動をしていたヒッピー・フォーク・バンドのようですが、なんとESPからのリリースなのでFugs, Holy Modal Rounders, Pearls Before Swineあたりを期待されていたのでしょうか。
ギター、バンジョー、フィドル/マンドリン、ベースという4人組でオールド・タイミーなマウンテンミュージック風の演奏を繰り広げます。
オリジナルとカヴァーが半々ぐらい。ジェシ・ウィンチェスターの「ブランド・ニュー・テネシー・ワルツ」もやっています。
サウンド的には完全にマウンテンミュージック風なんだけどどこかヒッピー・フォーク風の影がよぎる感じがESP的でとてもよいです。
