Jeff, Unfortunately is the solo identity of Bridge of Flowers singer/guitarist Jeffrey Gallagher. If you thought his perspective in BoF was coming from a different angle, wait until you hear his singular vision on this album. Stringing together songs and instrumental soundscapes (mostly alternating the two modes), this is a more polished album than many of his solo endeavors, but don’t worry, he’s not edging towards the mainstream—far from it. This is both a sonic and psychic excursion, sometimes whimsical, often as serious as your life.
NOTE: Yes, this album is mastered at a low volume. This is a deliberate aesthetic choice that fits with the way the voice drawls, mumbles, confides awkward feelings, grumbles.
