ノート
Recorded and mixed Summer 1979 & Summer 1980.
Piano on B5 recorded at the home of Beatrice Quennell.
This record is based on the score for 'The Song of the Shirt" (1979), a film about the London needlewomen whose sweated labour built the metropolitan garment industry during the mid-nineteenth century. Score commissioned by its directors with funds provided by the Arts Council of Great Britain.
Comes with 20-page booklet containing information and pictures pertinent to the subject matter of the record, along with song lyrics.
Catalog no. on spine: Arc 1.
Catalog no. on back cover: RRF 001.
Back cover says "Pressed by Samea Records" and credits Pete Norman as "Cutting engineer", but the runouts indicate a Nimbus pressing, cut by Gerald Reynolds. Some copies can be found with a sticker covering other text on back cover saying "Cut and pressed by Nimbus."
