ノート

A number of radical musicians from East Asia, primarily from China and Japan, were invited to reconsider the multiplicity of possible connections between text and music. The result was the Shokyo Ontei series. Shokyo Ontei – a neologism that means literally word echoes/sound writing, emphasizes this overlap between the process of creation of meaning through sound and through the written language.

The set includes the nine original CDs from the Shokyo Ontei series and a booklet with liner notes by Alan Cummings and photo by Wilson Au.
Exclusive to the set is a bonus CDr from Tetragrammaton with 42 min of unreleased music recorded at the time of Point of Convergence.

Wooden box constructed by Roger Utech. Hand stained and rubbed with beeswax to a beautiful two-tone finish. Screen printed by Orchard Street Press.

Numbered edition of 48 with 34 pieces available for sale via Utech Records.

The bonus CDr Tetragrammaton "Tannu-Ola is Blind" is actually 37 min long, the press release gives a wrong duration.

Sleeves of VagusNerve "Lo Pan" and Sachiko "Anro" are printed in greyscale instead of color as in the standalone versions. "Lo Pan" is also missing bandname and the title on the front comparing to original.
