Aanwijzing van Erik Satie: 'Pour se jouer 840 fois de suite ce motif, il sera bon de se preparer au prealable et dans le plus grand silence, par des immobilitees serieuses.'
Reinbert de Leeuw speelt 'Vexations' op deze plaat 30 maal; om het stuk 840 maal te horen moet de plaat 28 keer gedraaid worden.
