Label: Urashima - Ushi 015 なんと既に版元完売！！限定300セット、これはお見逃しなく！！イタリアのノイズ系レーベルUrashimaより、日本が誇るノイズのカルト・レジェンドThe Gerogerigegegeの(ザ・ゲロゲリゲゲゲ)の10枚組ボックスが登場！！88年発表のあの伝説的カルトアルバム[昭和]と同じ非音楽的な構成となっている様ですが、それとはまったく異なるコンセプトで制作されたという、恐らく1960年~80年代のテープサウンドを使用したというもの。お馴染みレーザー彫刻木箱仕様にてピンバッジが付属。 Absolute backers of sound research that goes beyond the restrictions of the obvious and the frivolous are certainly The Gerogerigegege, a bizarre musical project born in 1985 in Shinjuku, one of the largest and most populated neighbourhoods in Tokyo, known for its gay community active since the 60s, led by the mysterious figure of the musician and composer Juntaro Yamanouchi. The band's first live performances in the gay BDSM clubs of Shinjuku began at the end of 1986, but already in 1985, a first EP was circulating in the Tokyo shops: six tracks recorded in very low quality on a TDK C-30 cassette released on ZSF Produkt, the legendary Masami Akita label. To carry on the project and his very personal musical vision Juntaro creates his record label Vis A Vis Audio Arts which in 1987 licensed the first album Senzuri Champion. The vinyl shows a first real approach to the key elements of the sounds that have made the band famous and that slowly begin to take shape in the album tracks, where the explicit moans and sounds of masturbation are perfectly audible, accompanied by a drum rhythm and various tools not always definable. Then in 1988 here comes the legendary Showa album. This is not simply a record, but a work that mixes sacred and profane, proposing the recording in two long tracks of a squeeze between a man and a woman enclosed in the notes of Kimigayo, the Japanese national anthem in one of the most extreme examples of musical satire of all time. This collection of ten CDs follows the same non-musical structure, but have a concept completely different from Showa. It is based on “Anxious Performance” novel and could be consider Juntaro's sound testament as represents his visceral passion for vice, depravity and onanistic acts. ‘’Ero-tapes were known here in Japan in the 1960s, you’ll understand if you listen to the contents of this box-set, but the recordings were probably copied and shaped from the 1960s to 1980s. This is a dead end record. I also would like you to feel that this atmosphere and the bad sound quality that continues to inspire The Gerogerigegege is definitely an aspect of the work’’ Juntaro Yamanouchi 2020 The soul of Gerogerigegege returns to be felt stronger, more powerful and fascinating than ever, in this ten-CD collection that comes in black wooden box with laser engraving and closure with a numbered certificate in 300 copies, a folding with liner notes by Juntaro Yamanouchi and a pin.

It was recorded in Japan from 2017 to 2019, a closed and obstructive time. It is not a presentation of a worldview, but a personal documentary music of the late 2010s. 日本のアンダーグラウンド・ミュージック界の伝説的なアーティスト、Phew。1978年に大阪で最も初期のパンク・グループの一つであるアーント・サリー (Aunt Sally) のフロントを務めたのを皮切りに、80年代にはソロ・アーティストとして坂本龍一、コニー・プランク、CANのホルガー・シューカイ、ヤキ・リーベツァイト、アインシュテュルツェンデ・ノイバウテンのアレクサンダー・ハッケ、DAFのクリス・ハースなど、多くの著名なアーティストとのコラボレーションを行い、近年では、レインコーツのアナ・ダ・シルヴァ、ジム・オルーク、イクエ・モリ、オーレン・アンバーチ、ボアダムス/OOIOO/SaicobabのYoshimi (Yoshimi P-We) などとのコラボレーションも行っている彼女が、最新作のリリースを発表。

本作は、これまでに、ブラック・ロッジ、ボグダン・ラチンスキー、ヒズ・ネイム・イズ・アライヴといったカルト・ヒーローたちの未発表音源を世に発表して音楽ファンから一目置かれてきたレーベル〈Disciples〉の審美眼に適った初の日本人アーティスト作品となる。

 Phewの80年代初期のニューウェイブ指向の作品には、日本のみならず海外のコアな音楽フリークやレーベルから多くの関心が寄せられており、コラボレートしてきた著名なアーティストたちの数々も印象的だが、〈Disciples〉は『Light Sleep』『Voice Hardcore』といった近年の作品は、彼女の素晴らしいキャリアの中でもモダン・クラシックと呼ぶべき傑作であり、Phewが今、再び最盛期を迎えていることを確信し、本作のリリースへと繋がった。〈Disciples〉が今回のリリースにおいて探求したいと思ったのは、まさに彼女の今なのだ。『Vertigo KO』は、前述の2枚のアルバムと同じ時期に録音された楽曲と、今回のリリース用に制作の新曲を収録。アルバムには20ページのブックレットが付属しており、Phewについての文章と、表紙にもなっている塩田正幸の写真が収録。

Annotated on back cover, likely in the hand of Gerard Malanga, "Gerard Malanga Andy Warhol 231 E. 4th St. CL5-9941 After 2:00 PM." Very good condition. Formed by Ed Sanders and Tuli Kupferberg, The Fugs took their name from a euphemism for "fuck" used in Norman Mailer's novel, The Naked and The Dead. Sanders produced this book of Fugs' lyrics through his small edition press out of the Lower East Side in New York. Gerard Malanga's name and address are found on the back cover of this copy in a handwriting closely matching his own - an as-yet-unsolved mystery attached to this issue. $500
