Reissue of "Down For You Is Up" LP. Compare with first edition, it has a more flimsy sleeve, the record can be stored on both sides of the gatefold sleeve. There no mention of the record as being a promotional item, or any other reference to the maker of the record. The spine said "The Velvet Underground & Nico". The records have also different matrix numbers. Exists in black (this one), white or marbled mauve vinyl - all with the same matrix numbers. Some have on orange "LIMITED - COLOURED VINYL - EDITION" on front cover - all with the same matrix numbers.

The "Tapes" 3CD Box is the first-ever reissue of a 3-cassette compilation that Pleasure Editions originally released in 2015, limited to only 100 copies. The 3CD box set comes with a miniature poster and track lists, and each CD has a paper sleeve that reproduces the original cassette card artwork. This comprehensive 3CD box set is over three hours in length and includes session recordings with Tony Conrad and William Breeze (of Coil, Current 93, and Psychic TV), mystical recordings from the filming of Ira Cohen's "The Invasion of Thunderbolt Pagoda" (1968), shortwave experiments, and sounds of Tibetan Buddhist monks recorded by MacLise. The "Tapes" compilation features excerpts from the archives of the Angus MacLise Papers, which are held at Columbia University Library. The archives contain over 100 hours of reel-to-reel tape recordings of live improvised music, theatrical performances, and sound experiments created by MacLise and his associates during the 1960s and 1970s. MacLise produced the original recordings in his own unique style, characterized by rough and peculiar editing. The release is curated and sequenced by Will Cameron and Mark Iosifescu. In "Insect Wavelengths", there are successive transformations of sound material derived entirely from a recording of my own voice. The technology that has enabled human beings to extend our perceptions to previously hidden realms has also led to the discovery that other creatures have always possessed some of these abilities. Many species of insect are able to transmit and receive signals in the infra-red spectrum, tuning into specific signals much as we tune a radio. This is why the antennae of certain moths so closely resemble log-periodic television aerials. What we perceive as warmth radiating from a living organism or from the cooling earth at night, insects may perceive as bands of colour unknown to us. It may be that the human retina does possess some vestigial infra-red receptors, which can become sensitized under certain conditions.

"Dissolving Geologic Time" originated with a faulty bat-detector, a machine which translates the ultrasonic cries of bats to the range of human hearing. When the output was turned up too high, the machine generated its own internal feedback. These are the sounds which, in partially modified form, open the piece.

"The Mouth of Hermes" incorporates field recordings I made in locations such as Wookey Hole caves in Somerset and the Riverdale shopping centre in Lewisham, together with fragments of music from many parts of the world. It was inspired by that supreme example of organism modifying technology, the interaction between the earth's magnetic layers and short-wave radio signals. There, human communications are processed through the cyclical contractions of the living planet itself in an organic multiplication of possibilities.

The tracks on side A were recorded in 1988-9, the track B in 1987-9.
